Pink Mood

“Pink Mood” is about love and desire – or about their modern interpretations. Tamuna Melikishvili’s brush is nervous and passionate and it helps painter achieve the physical tension between the viewer and the woman painted in pink. Although the style of painting is far from realistic, the artist manages to capture the physical tangibility of woman’s body, pink clothing and the king size bed. Melikishvili applies the paint with thick layers – the pastel shades turn into condensed spots of inner tension. The cinematographic composition creates personal, intimate atmosphere of a film still.
