What differentiates Artbeep from other art websites and online galleries?

In addition to curating a selection of original artwork online, Artbeep regularly organizes pop-up exhibitions and other events throughout major cities in Europe, giving art lovers and collectors the opportunity to see the artwork of our artists live, and to meet them in person.

Artbeep’s process of artist and artwork selection is slightly different from that of traditional galleries. We “curate the local curators” by operating in previously unexplored regions and selecting high quality and professional art with no limitation on the number of artists to represent, hence providing buyers with a wide choice of artworks at a wide price range. We never exclude artists based on style, but we do differentiate between professional artists with dedicated careers, and those who view art as a mere hobby.

The Artbeep platform works on any device—laptop, tablet or smartphone—offering effortless navigation, easy search, and a smooth flow from search to selection and final payment (always using SSL encrypted technology to guarantee security).

Most importantly, Artbeep offers a large collection of diverse and original artwork. No matter your budget or individual tastes, we have the perfect piece of art for you.

What is sold on Artbeep?

At the moment Artbeep sells only original paintings and drawings.

What payment methods are acceptable?

We accept:

  • Credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and Discover

 

 

Are all the displayed items available for sale?

All items, unless indicated as “sold”, are available for sale; the “sold” status of artwork is updated regularly. In the very unlikely event that the item you ordered becomes unavailable (e.g. an Artbeep representative might decide that the item is not in good condition upon review of the artwork prior to shipping), Artbeep will inform you about the issue within 24 hours of receiving your order. In such rare cases, Artbeep will not charge the customer until it is confirmed that the item is available.

Is it possible to make a purchase without registering?

No, an account is required to make a purchase.

How can I view an artwork in person, prior to ordering?

All artwork sold by Artbeep is held in facilities located in a number of European cities. To view an art piece that you are interested in, please get in touch with us and we will let you know where the item is. If it happens to be in your area, or somewhere you plan to travel to, we will arrange a convenient viewing date and time for you to come and see the artwork. We can also help you plan a culture trip to one of the countries where Artbeep operates, complete with visits to Artbeep artist studios and workshops.

I am an artist. Can I submit my artwork and start selling on Artbeep?

Yes. Please get in touch with an Artbeep representative in your country, who will advise you on next steps for becoming an Artbeep Artist. Please note that you will have to provide us with your contact information, biography, and high resolution images of your artworks for a review by Artbeep experts. If approved, our representative will visit you to inspect the artworks and sign an agreement.

How are taxes and customs fees paid on my order?

The cost of an artwork as well as shipping, taxes, and duty fees related to shipping and exporting from the artwork’s country of origin, will be included in the final price you pay on Artbeep.

Taxes or customs fees originating from the buyer’s country of residence, or the location where the artwork is being shipped to, are not included in the price paid to Artbeep and it is the buyer’s responsibility to pay these, if any.

We can provide you with an estimate of such customs fees and duties depending on your location. E.g. if you are based in the UK, the contemporary works of fine art are import duty free and a reduced 5% rate of VAT applies.

Delivery Times

Items usually arrive within 14 business days from the date of order. Artworks are shipped by reputable international couriers (such as FedEx) so most customers will receive the items within 5-7 business days after they are sent, depending on the location of the artwork and destination of the buyer. In most destination countries, the customs clearing process is straightforward and takes a short amount of time.

Upon the shipment of your artwork, you will receive a shipping confirmation via email with a tracking number.

How is Artbeep artwork authenticated?

All Artbeep original items will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, issued by the artist. To see an example of such a certificate please click here.

For certain countries it is possible to obtain a Certificate of Authenticity issued by a relevant authority, such as the Ministry of Culture. To see an example of such a certificate please click here. If you need a certificate of this kind in addition to the one issued by the artist, you will need to request one from one of our representatives.

What framing options do you offer?

To keep shipping costs low, all paintings are shipped unframed by crate. This is our standard shipping service and it does not include framing. If framing is crucial for you, please contact us and we will gladly discuss our various framing options with you.

Do I need to sign for the delivery of my artwork?

Yes, due to the valuable nature of the all packages that we send via international courier, all orders must be signed for upon delivery.

What should I do if a painting I receive is damaged?

We don’t anticipate this as the vast majority of paintings are shipped in a secure tube that rarely gets damaged. Paintings on cardboard and hardboard will also be securely packaged. All packages are sent by reputable international couriers who take care when shipping the items.

In the very unlikely case that your item arrives damaged, please open it in front of the courier, photograph the damage and inform us immediately.

The most expensive art pieces sold on Artbeep will be delivered by an Artbeep country representative personally, to eliminate the risk of damage entirely.

Does Artbeep host exhibitions?
