Summer. 2005, an original artwork by Edik Vardanyan

Edik Vardanyan

Summer

2005
80
70

The summer comes to the streets of a small eastern town and the blazing sun makes everything shine withcolour. EdikVardanyan asks himself: what will the world look like if everything simply turns to colour? His rendition, however, is close to abstractionism. The grey donkeys, their burden, people, the road, the buildings, the sun and the sky, even the little angel above all are transformed with the power of the brushinto colour patches. The artist explores the boundaries between the realistic set of a rural scene with cognitive treatment of people and objects and the abstractionist renditionof the composition and forms. As the cherry on the cake, EdikVardanyan's humorous glance on the life and world express the original value of his art.
